Created during the isolation of COVID, this self-portrait captures the invisible symptoms: infected by fear, affected by distance, isolated from others, and alone with a distorted sense of self. While the world masked up, I came face-to-face with my own unraveling.
The exaggerated features and twisted proportions reflect the quiet unraveling that took place beneath the surface. This piece isn’t about how I looked — it’s about how I felt: stretched thin, mentally foggy, and emotionally displaced.
“Socially Distanced from Myself” is a visual record of emotional quarantine — a raw, unfiltered glimpse into the dissonance of being alone with too much of myself in a world that had come to a standstill.
